Swimming Rhodes is famous for its beaches - pebbled or sandy, populous or deserted. There are also numerous organised swimming beaches equipped with all modern facilities.
Golf: court at Xenia Afandou (19 km from Rhodes). Information: The Afandou Golf Club, tel. 51.121, 51.541. There are also many mini-golf facilities in Rhodes.
Tennis: Major hotels have tennis courts. Information: Rhodes Sports Centre (which has its own court), tel. 25.705, 28.218.
Sea-skiing: The east coast is particularly apt. Major hotels in Faliraki and Lindos are fully equipped.
Windsurfing: Major hotels on the coast have windsurfing canoes for rent. Organised beaches have sea-bicycles, parachutes and jet-skiing equipment for rent. There is also a Riding Centre (information, tel.: 21.317) and diving schools.
